BACK AGAIN

Hey bloggers, how are you? It's been awhile, hasn't it?

During all these years a lot of things happened in my life. I managed to go to Australia in 2016. I fell in love with the country (like most people do) and I am planning to move back to Australia.

Therefore I really need to work on my English, especially on my writing. I tried writing blogs before, but I didn't think I was good enough, I still think I am not. There's always something missing. Either I didn't get any idea, I wasn't confident with my grammar, or I just didn't have the motivation to do it. But hey, I believe practice makes perfect.

I was thinking what will be a good content for my blog, my interest. And one day it came around. Why not to write about food?!! I have always loved food, and we eat food everyday. But I will write about everything. I hope I am able to motivate myself to write at least once a week.

Anyway, that's all for now. I see you in my next little note :)...

Yoschi Hotel Bromo

Yoschi hotel is located at Wonokerto street km2, Ngadisari village Probolinggo- East Java, only few kilometers away from the Bromo volcano's top. We reached Probolinggo around 7.30 in the night and it was raining, making our way to find this hotel harder. It was dark, and only few local resident's house.

We reached the hotel around 9 pm. I fell in love once I saw the hotel's interior. The hotel's decoration very ethnic.

Sunrise at Borobudur

Did you ever watch sunrise before? Where did you do it? Beach? Mountain? Your house roof? Have you ever watched sunrise at Borobudur? The biggest Buddhist temple in the world. My first time sunrise watching was at March 26th with my Japanese friends.

The Borobudur gate was still closed when we got there at 4.30 a.m. Borobudur gate opened at 6 a.m (the ticket price was 190.000 rupiahs for tourist and 30.000 rupiahs for local people and KITAS holder.)
That's why we decided to entered Borobudur temple through Manohara hotel. The ticket price was 400.000 rupiahs (and we got free snack.)

When we got up in the Borobudur, there were couple of tourists already. Mostly were foreigners.

This was my favourite shot. Mystical atmosphere.

This was the view when sun was about to rose. It was foggy.
 Pretty, isn't it?

Japanese and their comical pose. Soo amusing ^_^

Beside the temple there were 2 museums in Borobudur area, museum dirgantara and museum borobudur. Both museums are free.

We left Borobudur around 7 a.m. Our next stop was Prambanan temple. Prambanan and Borobudur were in 2 different locations.  Borobudur was located at Borobudur village in Magelang. And Prambanan was located at Kalasan in Yogyakarta. It took approximately 2 hours from Borobudur to Prambanan.

The ticket price to entered Prambanan temple: the ticket price was 190.000 rupiahs for tourist, 85.000 rupiahs for foreign student (don't forget to bring your student card) and 30.000 rupiahs for local people and KITAS holder. There were 3 temples in Prambanan area. There were other facilities that you could enjoy for free, like museum, play ground (you could rented a bike for 20.000 rupiahs/ hour), cafe.

Padang Bai: Port Town at East Bali

As we all know, Bali was famous with it beaches. Kuta, Sanur, Jimbaran were the examples of  the famous Bali Beaches. On March 24th 2011, I had a chance to flew to Bali and visited one of  less famous Bali Beaches :D, Padang Bai.

This time I stayed at a backpacking hostel in Kuta area, sadly I didn't remember the hotel name :(. The room price was 200.000 rupiahs/ night. The hostel had a pool, air conditioner rooms, and bath room in each rooms. It was okay but I thought the owner need to paid more attention on the room's hygiene. For me two nights was enough.

I went to Padang Bai with my friend, Mr.G. Mr. G rented a car and drove me there. Padang Bai was approximately 1.5-2 hours driving. Padang Bai was known as a port town and located at East Bali. Usually tourists went to Padang Bai to caught a boat to Lombok. From Padang Bai to Lombok approximately 4 hours by boat with various boat prices.

Padang Bai location on map ... not really a high quality pic :(
Most of hotels in Padang Bai are budget hotels. Like these two budget hotels under. Their price for the rooms around 100.000-200.000/ nights.

We went to checked the beach there. And believe me, it's worth the time.

This view was soo stunning. The water so blue and clean.

It's me!! Which one is prettier, the beach or me lol?

look at those local kids. Took an afternoon afternoon bath on the beach \:D/

Mr.Bule happily 'mejeng' :D

I was asking the local people. Actually there were plenty activities were available in Padang Bai, like snorkeling or diving and dolphin watching in the afternoon.

On our way back to the hotel, I tried to took some of the dusk sky. But the result was blur :(.

Johor Bahru Day Trip

In December 2009 I and John (my boyfriend at that time) made a day trip to Malaysia. We went there by bus. The bus ticket was not that expensive, around $2. It takes about an hour to get to the border. Passing the border was not that difficult either. Just had to fill in some application forms. Stupid me I forgot to bring my immigration card so they kept me for a while. John passed the immigration smoothly as he always had his Singaporean PR.

Sri Raja Mariamman Hindu Temple
Look at the picture on that game! Pervy

Once we got in Johor Bahru, the first thing came into my head was 'Wow this place looked exactly like Indonesia'. We were hanging out for a while in the mall next to the border. We found an arcade place, stayed there for awhile and played some games. After we finished playing games we had lunch in the malls food court. After lunch we walked around and stop by a Hindu temple called Sri Raja Mariamman Hindu Temple. They asked us to take off our shoes before we entered the temple. Temple was full of statues. It was my first time to step inside of a Hindu Temple

After that we went to the bay, I wanted to see the beach. Before we got to the bay, we saw this Palace. So we decided to check it out and it turned out to be the Sultan Abu Bakar Royal Palace Museum. The museum was kinda neat. It was huge, clean, and awesome. We had to pay around $7 per person for the entry tickets. We were not allowed to take pictures of the things, but we took a couple of pictures of the building itself. From the Palace we could see Singapore and the peninsula. Inside the museum there is a botanical garden, we did not have the chance to check it out because it started to rain. So, after checking the palace we rushed back to the mall next to the border (forgot the name of the mall). Hanged out there a little bit longer and then went back to Singapore by bus. And on the way went back to the mall I saw an Indonesian consulate building.

If you make it to Johor Bahru I recomend you to go to Sultan Abu Bakar Royal Palace Museum. It is awesome there.
